Julissa Garcia was born and raised in Miami, Florida, to Cuban immigrant parents who instilled in her a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for education. Demonstrating academic excellence early on, she completed a dual enrollment program in high school that enabled her to graduate with both a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts.
Julissa went on to attend the Honors College at Florida International University (FIU) on a full scholarship. While at FIU, she balanced a full-time work schedule with an active campus life, holding leadership roles in both the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. Her professional journey in the legal field began during her undergraduate years when she joined Xander Law Group, P.A. as a legal assistant.
Currently, Julissa is pursuing her Juris Doctor at the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law at St. Thomas University, where she was awarded, a prestigious Presidential Scholarship covering her full tuition. During her first year, she distinguished herself academically, earning the Book Award in Constitutional Law for the highest performance in the course.
This summer, Julissa has returned to Xander Law Group as a Legal Clerk, where she continues to gain valuable hands-on experience. Upon graduation, she plans to specialize in Real Estate Law and looks forward to serving her community with integrity, diligence, and compassion.
